Gamesys recruits head of business development from Amaya

Gamesys has appointed former Amaya Gaming executive Nick Wright to its senior management team as head of business development, eGaming Review has learned.

Wright will be tasked with overseeing Gamesys’ global corporate and business development initiatives, and joins from Amaya Gaming where he was director of sales, marketing and operations for its B2B arm.

Prior to his two years at Amaya, which recently divested its entire B2B business, Wright spent six years at Playtech as sales director.

“I am delighted to be joining such an exciting business at a pivotal moment in its history,” Wright told eGR this morning.

Wright’s appointment comes after Gamesys announced a major management reshuffle that saw founder Noel Hayden become executive chairman after incumbent Roger Devlin announced he would step down.

Lee Fenton stepped up to the top job after more than seven years at the London-based firm, with director of gaming operations Robeson Reeves taking the COO vacancy left by Fenton.

In an exclusive interview with eGR following his promotion, Fenton said it would be business as usual at the firm with Hayden still “custodian of the long-term vision.”
