Mydeo Joins Ebay and Microsoft to Lead Video Hosts to Get Safe Online

Mydeo.com, the streaming video service for consumers and small businesses, is proud to announce that it is supporting the Get Safe Online campaign.
This joint government and industry initiative aims to help individuals and small businesses to secure themselves against internet threats and be safe online. The campaign was launched in October 2005 and is funded by the Cabinet Office, the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), the Home Office, DTI, BT, Cable & Wireless, eBay.co.uk, HSBC, Microsoft and SecureTrading.
Cary Marsh, Mydeo’s CEO, commented, “Initiatives like the Get Safe Online campaign provide people with the information and tools they need to get the most out of the internet without exposing themselves to unnecessary risks.”
Tony Neate, Managing Director of Get Safe Online, said: “It’s vital we make people aware of resources such as www.getsafeonline.org to ensure they continue to use the internet safely and confidently. Get Safe Online is committed to this long term awareness campaign. It is about education and making people aware that, yes, these dangers are real, but armed with the right knowledge, we can all continue to enjoy using the internet securely.”
The Get Safe Online campaign, which is now in its third year, is the UK’s first national internet security awareness campaign. The initiative continues to raise awareness and provide advice for everyone, primarily through the ca 12f mpaign website www.getsafeonline.org.
