Business woman wins award for use of IT

Cary Marsh, the founder of video streaming service Mydeo, has enjoyed success at the recent Natwest everywoman Awards. Ms Marsh, who developed the website while on maternity leave when she decided to stream her baby’s video to her family, secured the everywoman Iris Award.

Sponsored by BT Business, this accolade is given to the woman whose business growth has been greatly improved through the implementation and use of IT and communications.

Launched in 2005, Mydeo became the first and only service to be fully integrated into Microsoft’s Windows Movie Maker software and now provides streaming for over 150,000 individuals, companies and communities across the world. Ms Marsh regularly talks of her passion for science and technology and recognises the importance of enthusiastic role models in encouraging more women into these sectors.

The Natwest everywoman Awards, which were held at The Dorchester Hotel in London this year, celebrate inspirational businesswomen who have achieved notable success.
