LOMBOK is delighted to announce its contribution to the changing face of the High Street with its arrival in Reading. From 18th February 2006, LOMBOK’s biggest store to date shall be open, at 81/82 Broad Street.
LOMBOK is a furniture retail company that imports beautifully designed furniture from Indonesia, Vietnam and China. Since its creation in a converted garage in Parsons Green in October 1998, LOMBOK has grown organically from strength to strength. With six stores in London and three stores located across the south east, Reading will be LOMBOK’s tenth and largest store.
LOMBOK’s aim is to create stores that offer high quality, stylish furniture and accessories at an affordable price, whilst also making furniture shopping an enjoyable experience. Working closely with the manufacturers, traditional techniques and high quality, natural materials are used to create sought after western designs where simple clean lines provide a feeling of decadence with a hint of the exotic. Visits to suppliers in Indonesia, Vietnam and China take place regularly and often a number of original pieces will be bought, providing LOMBOK with a supply of unique and unusual items. As LOMBOK continues to grow, there is a focus on developing LOMBOK’s renowned accessory collection. Striking lacquer ware, woven goods, fabulous lamps, hand embroidered bed and table linen, luxurious cushions, and exquisite ceramics all form part of LOMBOK’s unique range.
The new year also sees the development of LOMBOK’s new Interior Design Service and Contract department. Trade requests are now welcome in any LOMBOK store, while the new, dedicated contract department is launching LOMBOK into the hotel, leisure and property development sectors at a phenomenal pace. To date, the department has supplied LOMBOK furniture and accessories to Property Developers in Barbados and Bahamas, Boutique hotels and Clubs in Wales and England, Malmaison Hotels in Edinburgh and Glasgow and Morgans Hotels in Wales. LOMBOK’s new Interior Design Service was launched in November, in collaboration with Scheme and Co and is available to customers and property developers alike. The comprehensive service encompasses every aspect of design, from initial meetings with top interior designers including Tim Shepherd to discuss the project aims, to sourcing materials and finding local decorators. To celebrate the opening of the Reading store, LOMBOK is offering a free Interior Design consultation to a lucky customer.
