The company behind leading independent gaming site Jackpotjoy.com has appointed the corporate development director of Hilton Group as its new chairman. Roger Devlin, 49, joined Gamesys with effect from June 1.
Mr Devlin’s appointment comes just a year after Gamesys was considering a possible £100m flotation. But the new chairman stressed his appointment should not be read as a pre-cursor to a stock market listing.
Instead, the company plans to build on its existing gaming infrastructure. The site is unique in that the majority of its players are female.
Mr Devlin plans to expand organically in the UK and further afield.
He is also assisting with the integration of Hilton International with Hilton Hotels Corporation until the end of this year.
