Red-M welcomes new Non-Executive Directors to the Board

Following its successful round of funding, Red-M, the UK’s wireless communication specialist, has today announced the appointment of Paul Craig and David Alexander as non-executive board directors. Paul has twenty two years of experience in the mobile and wireless communications industry covering a broad range of technical and managerial disciplines. David is an experienced investor and has extensive operational experience in the delivery of last mile managed services.

Announcing both appointments, Richard Greco, Red-M’s Chairman said: “I’m delighted that Paul and David will be joining Red-M. They bring a vast amount of technical and industry experience to the board.”

Paul added: “I very much look forward to working with Red-M and I hope my fresh perspective will help to maintain the high standard of industry leading work that Red-M provides to its customers”

David said: “Given Red-M’s wealth of experience in wireless and my fixed line experience, I am very much looking forward to helping Red-M deliver its last mile wireless services to both the carrier market and end customers.”

Paul is currently an independent wireless telecommunications consultant, prior to this role he was CTO for 3 UK, responsible for building the world’s first working 3G UMTS network; Technical Director for Esat Digifone (now O2) in Ireland; Orange UK as their first employee and BT Cellnet when the first UK mobile licence was awarded. Paul is also a member of the Accenture Communications & High Tech Division Global Advisory Board and a Director for Aran Technologies in Dublin.

David is currently commercial director of NetworkFlow, the high-end connectivity specialist providing high-speed internet access and multi-site managed networks to the medium to large enterprise market. He was formerly part of the founding management team of the venture capital firm, Pi Capital, where he led transactions ranging in size from £5m-£120m in enterprise value, including Sporting Index, Cozart plc and Irisys.
